The fundamental aim of acupuncture is not simply to relief symptoms but to treat the cause of the illness, reaching the root problem and correct it at a deeper level - to restore the imbalance between the physical, emotional and energetic aspects of an individual as a whole. TCM views health as a balance of the individuals' energy also called 'Chi'. This is the driving force that underlies life in the universe. It is the source of the body activity and movement protecting us from disease and keeping us warm. The uninterruped circulation of our blood and Chi in the body contributes to one's overall health. However, blockages or imbalances can result in pain and illness. Acupuncture helps this Chi move along pathways known as meridians that can connect various organs and physiological systems within the body. |

Stress has become for many of us so much part of our day to day life. This continual stress can lead to disease and premature ageing. Tension can build up within our facial muscles from the pressures of everyday life without us realising it. It can be easy for certain thoughts and emotions to become habitual, locking themselves into expressions on our faces - sometimes over duration of a whole lifetime. Under such conditions muscles can actually “dry up” and contract, inhibiting freedom of expression. This can encourage ageing and the formation of wrinkles as the face loses its muscle tone and elasticity and begins to sag. The benefits of the Ayurvedic facial massage are many including: # To aid relaxtion # To Heal # To connect Spiritually # To De-Stress # To De-Tox # To stimulate Lymphatic Drainage # As a powerful Anti-Ageing Face lift |

Counselling takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose. It is always at the request of the client as no one can properly be 'sent' for counselling. By listening attentively and patiently the counsellor can begin to perceive the difficulties from the client's point of view and can help them to see things more clearly, possibly from a different perspective. Counselling is a way of enabling choice or change or of reducing confusion. It does not involve giving advice or directing a client to take a particular course of action. Counsellors do not judge or exploit their clients in any way. In the counselling sessions the client can explore various aspects of their life and feelings, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family. Bottled up feelings such as anger, anxiety, grief and embarrassment can become very intense and counselling offers an opportunity to explore them, with the possibility of making them easier to understand. The counsellor will encourage the expression of feelings and as a result of their training will be able to accept and reflect the client's problems without becoming burdened by them. |

The candle itself is a hollow tube made from unbleached organic cotton and 100% pure beeswax and works like a chimney. When the candle is lit at the top, there is a mild suction which will draw out impurities from the ear into the lower section of the candle. The rising air inside the ear then sets up a vibration which will gently massage the ear drum. This helps regulate the pressures involved inside the ear. The effect of this is sometimes experienced by the client as a “lighter feeling” in the ear and head areas. The flow of air creates a circulation of vapour, this is soothing, calming and protects the irritated areas. The warmth of the flow stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems and increases immune defence and cleansing. It also stimulates energy and reflex points. While the candle is burning, a pleasant, warm sensation can be felt. |

Kinesiology (movement of the body) identifies energy imbalances in the body often before the physical symptoms occur. If left untreated these imbalances will eventually lead to dis-ease. The body expresses externally what is going on internally. Each muscle is related to an organ and energy pathway (a meridian). By testing the function of the major systems of the body, through non-invasive muscle testing, the kinesiologist can tell what is needed to put the body back into balance. |

Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old form of traditional medicine originating from India. It was the health care system that supported many ancient cultures and civilisations. After the consultation to determine suitability and the person's constitution, the appropriate oil/s are chosen and then applied to the body with stimulating movements. After an all-over body massage, appropriate pressure is then applied to specific points on the body known as 'MARMA POINTS' of which there are 107 all over the body. These are vital points of energy that can become blocked and lead to stagnation and blockages in the body causing illnesses and diseases to manifest. When applied on a regular basis, this massage can tone the body, relieve muscular tension, relieve stiffness in the joints and can stimulate the organs and the tissues of the body to heal and rejuvenate itself. |

What we eat is an important part of our being. Food provides us with the energy and vital nutrients necessary to remain healthy and help us should we become ill. We may have an allergic reaction or a food intolerance, which leads to an eruption on the skin. Stomach cramps, vomiting or diarrhoea may occur after eating certain foods. Knowing which foods are responsible is the first step to ascertaining how to go about addressing the problem. Often the only way is to carry out an elimination diet, by excluding certain substances. What is a Nutritionist? A nutritionist is someone who examines our dietary intake and lifestyle so as to discover any imbalances. How does a Nutritionist work? An initial consultation with a professional nutritionist takes about one hour and a half. During which time diagnostic tests and allergy testing maybe carried out. Once the nutritionist is in possession of all the necessary information, a three- month programme which focuses on which foods to eliminate and which foods to increase, plus supplements is incorporated into the persons life. |

Reiki means "Universal Life Energy" and is a form of hands-on (or hands-off) healing. Reiki is the unseen energy that is all around us and that flows through us, giving us life. It is an holistic treatment and treats the person as a whole, rather than individual symptoms, acknowledging that no part of the human body is separate from any other part. Reiki heals on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels and simply flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. The act of receiving a Reiki treatment is very simple. The recipient lies on a treatment table and relaxes, or sits in a chair, if this is more comfortable. The practitioner places their hands in a sequence of positions on, or near, the recipient's body and Reiki is channeled, through the practitioner, to the recipient. The recipient will not be asked to remove any clothing, except for anything which may restrict their breathing or comfort, such as outdoor clothing, shoes, spectacles or contact lenses. This is so that the recipient can feel comfortable and relaxed during the treatment. Reiki will go through clothing, blankets or even a plaster cast if necessary! The practitioner's touch will be gentle, light and comfortable and the recipient may feel sensations from the practitioner's hands, or in other parts of their body, such as heat, tingling or coolness. Many people experience a sense of well being and relaxation - some even fall asleep! Reiki balances the energy in the body, renewing vitality and bringing about a powerful sense of serenity and relaxation. Other benefits include feelings of inner peace and calm flowing through and radiating from the recipient's body, surrounding them with a wonderful sense of tranquility, safety and wellbeing. Acute symptoms can be helped to heal more quickly and chronic cases may take longer. Reiki supports all other orthodox and complementary medical techniques and helps to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki has been effective in helping every known physical, emotional, mental and spiritual issue and is always beneficial. Indeed, many have reported miraculous results and Reiki is often a life changing experience. |
